Meribeth Burton

Meribeth Burton is a Canadian journalist, best known for her work as a television news anchor and reporter. She is currently a Senior Reporter and back-up anchor at CIVI-TV (A-Channel Vancouver Island) in Victoria, British Columbia.

Meribeth was born in Sudbury Ontario and started her journalism career in 1989 reporting for MCTV Sudbury. Later that year Burton become the anchor of the evening news and late news at MCTV Timmins, a post she held until 1993.

Burton then moved to CH TV in Victoria as the weekend anchor and over her twelve years with the station served as anchor of CH's news programs.

In 2004 Meribeth joined A-Channel Vancouver Island as Senior Reporter and back-up anchor.
