Merchant Overstock is an online super store carrying products across many lines. The Christmas store at Merchant Overstock has become one of the largest online.

[Gordon Companies Inc.] founded in 1977 in Buffalo, New York by David M. Gordon. It was a wholesale company which also operated, at its peak, five stores in the Buffalo area. One of their stores still exists in Cheektowaga, New York called Dave's Christmas Wonderland. Dave's is the largest Christmas store in Western New York, and has become a Christmas Destination. In 2001 while attending Penn State, David's son Nathan Gordon, had the idea of selling the companies goods online via eBay. Instead of selling a tractor trailer of items for $5 a piece, Nathan had the idea of selling items one at a time for $10 each. While it was to hard keeping track of everything away at school, his sister Sarah Gordon took the idea and put a small office in the building with David's wife Paulette Gordon. The first online name of Gordon Companies, Inc. was called WPoohandFriends, due to the large amount of Winnie the Pooh collectibles they were selling. After graduation in May 2004, Nathan moved back home to rejoin the online company and the name was soon changed to Merchant Overstock.

Merchant Overstock can be found just about anywhere on the internet. They are an eBay top 500 volume seller, ranking 222 in the world. Besides for being found on Merchant Overstock and eBay, they can be found on all the major shopping sites: Pronto, Jelly Fish, Google Product Search, Google Base, smarter.com, PriceGrabber, Amazon.com and many more.
