A relatively benign merman complete with scales caught in the Baltic Sea in 1531 according to Johann Zahn's sources.
In: "Specula physico- mathematico-historica notabilium ac mirabilium sciendorum" by Johann Zahn. published 1696 at Augsburg, Germany.
