[edit] Fair use rationale for Image:Mentor logo 2.gif

Image:Mentor logo 2.gif is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

[edit] Vandalism

There has been a lot of vandalism going on on this page, almost every day. Statements such as TEAM - Total Erection in Anal Membrane are really inappropriate and should be stopped. This page should be only edited by users. Should we apply for semi-protection? (Filluz 19:56, 2 December 2007 (UTC))

[edit] Mentor DECA

This article seems to promote the president of the DECA program a bit too much. It would help if it wasn't written from the president's point of view, it is meant to be just a resource. Please do not promote yourself in the articles. Take a look at all the other sections. Filluz 20:19, 2 December 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Names of the Founders

So is the founder Art Steinberg and Ken Philbrook? Or is it Mike Philbrook? or Pat Sweeney? or Art Vandelay? The question lingers. And so does the controversy surrounding the extreme speed with which the Standard View is re-asserted on the main page. The year of the founding is no longer debated thanks to Radiocarbon dating.

The Standard View

The Standard View is that the school was founded by "Ken Philbrook and Art Steinberg". Groups have argued that the virility of the Standard View is probably linked to Stalinist undercurrents operating within the school's inner sphere.

The "Philbrook Connection" View

Quite early on, suspicions arose over the familial relations between the shadowy figurehead of Ken Philbrook and the significantly more concrete student Mike "Smash" Philbrook. Reportedly, Mike's mother had once informed him of distant relation between elusive Ken and their own family. However, evidence remained slim and repeated public inquiries into the matter failed to conclusively establish such a link. In modern times the debate began to take a more ontological turn when theorists started to seriously doubt whether or not a being such as Ken Philbrook could even exist in our world. "We can talk of Ken Philbrooks just as we can talk of Unicorns; which is to say, not meaningfully at all." Bertrand Russell famously never said. If the Russellian view is true, then Ken Philbrook must be rejected as a possible name for one of the two founders. Following this rejection, a more metaphysically sound choice for a replacement became Mike Philbrook, whom we can talk meaningfully about due to his indisputable form, solidity and observability. So, any time we talk of "Ken Philbrook" we are actually talking about Mike Philbrook. Proponents of this view often claim that the Ken-Mike confusion came about as the result of a severe case of dissociative identity disorder, most likely caused by gratuitous protein intake. Research in this field remains highly speculative. However, cutco has developed knives that can split whey protein, so research into this field is a gamble the Popular Front is willing to take. The People's front swiftly rebutted with their own view, provided below.

The Radically Clever View

Radical Cleverists appeared very late one night in response to the perceived inadequacies of both the tyrannical Standard View and the contrived rantings of Philbrook Connectivism. In this view, the only thing that matters is architecture and giving a 110% all of the time. Based on these two simple principles, Radical Cleverists were able to produce complex system dynamics in all 11 dimensions without violating the postulates of Seinfeldian algebra. There was much applauding for those involved.
