Melior Community College

The Melior Community College is a comprehensive in Scunthorpe in the North Lincolnshire LEA for ages 11-16.
Following Government plans to improve Schools in the United Kingdom, (Building Schools for the Future) Thomas Sumpter School has amalgamated with South Leys Business & Enterprise College to create Melior Community College for Business, Enterprise and The Arts.
Once built, Melior Community College will be located where Thomas Sumpter Comprehensive School currently is: Chandos Road, Scunthorpe. Until that time the School is operating over two sites (North Site, Chandos Road and South Site, Enderby Road - former South Leys school site).
The headteacher of the School is Mrs Angela Briggs, former Head Teacher of Thomas Sumpter Comprehensive School.
The main colours for the school uniform are Pale Blue & Burgundy, which are, incidently, both the colours of Thomas Sumpter (Pale Blue) and South Leys (Burgundy) as well as the colours of the local football team Scunthorpe United.
