Melee[1] is the code name of a fictional comic book character within Marvel Comics' shared universe the Marvel Universe. She first appeared in Avengers: The Initiative #8 and was created by Dan Slott, Christos N. Gage and Stefano Caselli.
[edit] Fictional character biography
Melee was recruited into the Fifty State Initiative and sent to its training facility Camp Hammond where she is joined by other new recruits Ant-Man, Crusader, Proton, Dragon Lord, Geiger, Red 9, and Diamondback[1]. During a combat training exercise she was involved with, MVP clone KIA attacks and kills fellow recruit Dragon Lord[2]; in the wake of this assault, she presented Dragon Lord's ashes to his family.[3]
