Melanie Pearson (previously Mangel) was a fictional character in the Australian soap opera Neighbours, played by Lucinda Cowden. She first appeared in 1987, then in 1988 and became a regular on the series in 1989 up until the character's departure in 1991. In 2005, Melanie made a cameo in Annalise Hartman's documentary about Ramsay Street. She is known for her cacophonous croaking laugh and her dippy personality.
