Melakadambur is located at 31 km from Chidambaram, Cudalore district, Tamilnadu, India.
This holy village is known for, Arulmigu Amirthakateshwarar Thirukkoil, constructed during the regin of cholas by Kulothunga Cholan-I, in the year 1110 A.D.
