Courtesy of U.S. Army Army Pfc. Melvin L. Brown, who earned a posthumous Medal of Honor during the Korean War for his actions against North Korean forces in Sept. 1950 north of Daegu. A newly built vehicle maintenance facility at Camp Carroll, South Korea is being named in his honor. Brown, assigned to Company D, 8th Engineer Combat Battalion, was 19 when he was killed.
