Meikle Bin is a member of the Kilsyth Hills (not the Campsie Fells as commonly stated). It is the largest of the group at 570m and with that height it is classified as a Marilyn. The hill is a prominent local landmark for the peoples of the towns surrounding the Kilsyth Hills. It has claimed the lives of many pilots many of whom were not expecting a hill so large to be in the location it is.
