Mehr Abdul Haq

Mehr Abdul Haq was a linguist from Pakistan. His work is in the Siraiki language about which he wrote several books. His original work is his PhD thesis Multani zaban aur os ka Urdu se Taaluq. His next important works are Mazeed lisani tahqeeqan and Siraiki aur os ki hamsaya ilaqai zabanan.
He was also a literary critic. He wrote several articles about Siraiki literature. He has also written about the legendary Siraiki poet Khawaja Fareed (Farid), and translated him into the Urdu language. Fard-i-Fareed and Lughat-i-fareedi are his important works on Khawaja Fareed.
