Mehatpur Basdehra is a town and a nagar panchayat in Una district in the Indian state of Himachal Pradesh.

As of 2001 India census[1], Mehatpur Basdehra had a population of 8686. Males constitute 54% of the population and females 46%. Mehatpur Basdehra has an average literacy rate of 66%, higher than the national average of 59.5%: male literacy is 70%, and female literacy is 62%.
