[edit] L rocks your socks, bitch!
That has to be more userboxes than I once had. Damn. Dave == Win -- Alai 08:46, 24 February 2007 (UTC)
If any admin sees this below and wants/needs to email/talk to me directly, I'm available.

Please read: ThePlanet has been listed before as an open proxy, but it is a large hosting company. Banning the entire class B subnet seems extreme if there are valid (and contributing users) on the same subnet (like me).

- I have left a message with the blocking admin asking him to take a look at the request. Is http://www.theplanet.com your ISP? It looks like a webhosting service (which I suppose one of their customers could be using it to host an open proxy or something). --BigDT (416) 14:33, 21 April 2007 (UTC)

- Thank you, BigDT. It is partially a web-hosting service (and admittedly, ThePlanet has been blocked once before by Dmcdevit) but they handle a lot of other things too (my connection to the Internet is routed through a company that goes through their data center). Last time, I emailed Dmcdevit and the block was removed (it was on the 67.18.0.0/16 block that time). Megaversal 15:44, 21 April 2007 (UTC)
Given his prior involvement I've left a note for Dmcdevit asking him to comment on the unblock request. Newyorkbrad 20:58, 21 April 2007 (UTC)
The problem here is that (correct me if I'm wrong) if the ThePlanet has both web hosting and conventional internet services, they don't publish the IPs of each, only giving huge ranges belonging to the comppany. Looking at the edits on the whole 69.93.0.0/16, I don't see enough evidence to support a block (<25 edits in the last two months, including six for 3 different unblock requests; not much vandalism). I've unblocked. Dmcdevit·t 21:10, 21 April 2007 (UTC)
Thank you, all three of you. I appreciate the time taken to look at this. Considering the whopping <25 edits, this wasn't exactly high priority magic. Megaversal 01:35, 22 April 2007 (UTC)
