This is your last warning. The next time you violate Wikipedia's neutral point of view policy by inserting commentary or your personal analysis into an article, as you did to Worldwide Church of God, you will be blocked from editing Wikipedia. Trusilver 05:53, 30 June 2007 (UTC)
- Fore reasons stated below, I am removing my warnings for vandalism. Trusilver 07:56, 30 June 2007 (UTC)
I don't know if you can read this but I am a long standing member of the WCG and I have noticed a few twisted facts and important information thats been left out...I'm not out for causing trouble but I need to change certain things that have a biased view against the church. As I can see you work on behalf of this page so I would like to invite you to allowing me to end this bias regarding the information about the WCG. Also the contents on that page could be seen as slander in certian places.
Kind regards —Preceding unsigned comment added by Megaman111 (talk • contribs)
- I understand your frustration. However, all of the edits you made were exceptionally biased and failed to stand up to WP:NPOV standards. Second, the very fact that you are associated with the church, while not preventing you from editing it, does present conflict of interest issues. Third, while the article is not entirely referenced, you attempted to remove more than one piece of information that was. Removal of information that has been properly cited is censorship and is not tolerated. This article is intended to be an impartial source of information not an advertising medium for your church. Correctly cited information is welcome here regardless of whether or not it's convenient to the WCG. Consequently, any information you add needs to be properly cited.
- If you have any questions, or need any help with this, feel free to send me a message. I will be more than happy to assist you in any way I can. However, do things by the rules. Any further vandalism will result in your ability to edit being blocked.
- Also, do not make legal threats, no matter how vague. ANY legal threat is grounds for immediate and indefinite suspension of editing privledges. Trusilver 06:37, 30 June 2007 (UTC)
Thank you for your offer of help, I just hope we can get this matter dealt in an efficient manner.
I have not made any legal threats but merely pointed out that certain parts of the page could be seen to be slanderous. When our law suit is mentioned it is spoken of in a bad light as if we'd fiddled the system using the term "spending millions" to cover up the investigation. What also is cause for concern is that the references used in the article is of ex members who have often been caught out writing very clever lies on the internet making false reports etc.
To give the right account on the situation I will provide one of Herbert Armstrongs letters to the church regarding the matter and how the case was won as a reference guide.
Secondly there is mention that children were forced to pay tithes by the church. There is no reference for that accusation so i'd like to request that to be taken away.
Thirdly I'd like to update the article of the true state of the WCG as I am a long standing member. After all Wikipedia is after the facts. The true state can be explained in very simple middle ground terms. There are 2 camps in one church where one of them follows the changes while the others stays put to what it always believed. That I hope isn't too slanted.
If this is of help to you I will be sending the law suit letters to clear the present situation.
Kind regards...God bless
- It is clear to me that any vandalism committed on this article was due to unfamiliarity with our processes and policies rather than malicious intent. Because of this I am removing both of my warnings.
- I want to help you make this article comply with a neutral point of view in any way that I can. To start with anything that is deliberately POV and unsourced, go ahead and remove it. I will follow behind you and check sources and your edits. I'm doing this to ensure that your edits are NPOV and to ensure that nobody can later say that you have a conflict of interest.
- After that's done, we can look into properly sourcing any additional material you want to add to the article. I will take a look tommorow when I get some times and see what changes you have made. Good luck. Trusilver 07:56, 30 June 2007 (UTC)
