McGinnis' next big project was Little Women (musical), in which she originated the role of Beth from workshops to Broadway. Following Little Women (musical), McGinnis began understudying the role of Eponine in Les Miserables (musical) under Celia Keenan-Bolger and Mandy Bruno. Even while Bruno was the lead of this role, McGinnis was seen often as Bruno had a television soap-opera to film. After Bruno left, McGinnis took over the role of Eponine regularly from June 23rd 2007 - January 6th 2008.
