i want to be on the mediation comittee because i want to help prevent full-out edit wars and i waould like to take a more active role in wikipedia.it would also be good to get expereince for if i ever get to be an admin. The Pink Panther 21:33, 21 April 2007 (UTC)
Mediation committee:
- Strong oppose, lack of knowledge about Wikipedia (it took six attempts for this user to get the page to this stage, and it is still horribly maleformed[1] - couldn't spell "Committee" right, didn't follow instructions at WP:MC), poor English skills[2][3][4][5] and knowledge of MedCom[6], sporatic activity since last nomination. This is extremely concerning, as is this - all in this user's last one hundred edits (inactivity). Doesn't have community's trust. User is [a young age], and the lack of maturity shows. No prior mediating experience. In my opinion, will not mediate effectively. Daniel Bryant 01:36, 22 April 2007 (UTC) PS: This confirms my thoughts entirely.
- Oppose Desire to help out is admirable, but you really need a lot more experience. Also, preventing edit wars is more an administrator thing than a mediator thing. An administrator can end an edit war by protecting the page. A mediator cannot file or serve as a witness in an incident report, but instead patiently works towards finding a long-term solution that everyone will be happy with. Note: Corrected malformed nomination; previous version is viewable through page history — anthony[review] 02:59, 22 April 2007 (UTC)- comment.if you will excuse me,i have NO clue how the first edit you showed happened, and the second one,i have no clue whats wrong with it.i was warning a user for continued vandalism.i dont think age should be a factor, and i though comittee was spelled that way because i saw it spelled that way on a page.and i dont think how i do THIS page,is relevant to my ability to mediate a case.i dont think the parties will care if i mispell comitee, you know?as long as they know what i mean. i apologise if i sounded arguementitive:i am merely saying what went through my mind. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by The pink panther (talk • contribs).
- comment ok dude, sorry maybe that was immature.its just that im going through depression right now and its easy for me to feel bad about myself.sorry about that.it was stupid like everything else i do.everything ive ever done has been stupid and wrong. The Pink Panther 03:12, 22 April 2007 (UTC)

- I'm going to go ahead and assume that was directed at me; well, in all honest it is relevant - part of a Mediator's duty is to continually keep RfM pages tidy and organised - without even a basic knowledge of spelling, grammar and punctuation - not to metion WikiFormat - this would more than likely prove a difficult task. If this comment was not directed at me, feel free to remove (I assume it was on the grounds that, it is posted directly below my comment, and in the case of discussion with other editors, it was posted under their comment, not here, thus eliminating any possibility of ambiguity.) anthony[review] 04:26, 22 April 2007 (UTC)
- Declined per the two oppose rule.
