[edit] Request details

Civil but difficult conflict about the article ELs and more specifically the weblogs section.

[edit] Who are the involved parties?

Mainly myself and Dprkstudies

[edit] What's going on?

I would like to remove blogs from the ELs of the article and limit the number of ELs. Dprkstudies thinks several blogs should be listed as EL.

[edit] What would you like to change about that?

Find a solution that while respecting everyone feelings doesn't make this article a special case for ELs.

[edit] Mediator notes

There is an RfC currently open at Talk:North Korea; that should be sufficient, as of now, to settle the dispute. JeremyMcCracken (talk) (contribs) 18:11, 19 April 2008 (UTC)

Hi Jeremy, are your comments on the article talk page in the capacity of an editor responding to a RfC? PhilKnight (talk) 20:19, 21 April 2008 (UTC)
Basically yes, I started in the vein of the neutral mediator, but they were at a deadlock, so I tried to give a third opinion. JeremyMcCracken (talk) (contribs) 20:30, 21 April 2008 (UTC)
It was a bit confusing- there'd been a previous 3O, but there were more than two editors involved. This was then filed naming only two editors, with the RfC open at the same time. I recommended they go to formal mediation with some of the earlier parties; a bit easier to sort. JeremyMcCracken (talk) (contribs) 20:35, 21 April 2008 (UTC)
Thanks for the prompt reply. PhilKnight (talk) 23:38, 21 April 2008 (UTC)

I'm going to close this at this time, as the parties don't seem able to reach an agreement that would suit the both of them. Formal mediation will be required. JeremyMcCracken (talk) (contribs) 00:43, 22 April 2008 (UTC)
