[edit] Mediator response
I accept this case. I am assuming things will be handled on the talk page of the article somewhat, and will attempt to mediate there. This is my first try at mediating, please don't make it too hard for me :). Yuser31415 20:01, 12 February 2007 (UTC)
- Good luck dude! --Kim Bruning 20:41, 15 February 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Discussion
While using the talk page of the article in question to solve a dispute is encouraged to involve a larger audience, feel free to discuss the case below if that is not possible. Other mediators are also encouraged to join in on the discussion as Wikipedia is based on consensus.
- Many people have been asking when the final mediation results will be issued so that the page can be unprotected. How soon can we expect to hear something? Thanks. Labyrinth13 21:54, 21 February 2007 (UTC)
- Am I the only one, or do others also find it odd that this is listed as closed? If it really is closed, why hasn't the page been unlocked? Jeffpw 22:19, 21 February 2007 (UTC)
- As I am one of the three editors listed above in the dispute, I am under the impression that neither myself or any of the others can request that the page be unprotected. However, it is also my understanding that another, non-involved party can request that the page be unprotected. I feel that the page should be freed up for editing. Where is our mediator, I must ask again?. Labyrinth13 22:48, 21 February 2007 (UTC)
- Yuser isn't an admin, either, <sigh> 10 days this page has been protected. This is ridiculous. Jeffpw 23:00, 21 February 2007 (UTC)

Jeffpw: No, Yuser31415 is not an admin, but he did volunteer to act as the mediator for the dispute and as such (at least as far as I understand the process) is in control of finalizing it. I just checked at User talk:Yuser31415 and he posted the following trouble message there:
Due to the amazing incompetence of my ISP, I will be using dialup for an unknown duration after 20 February 2007. This will (very likely) affect the time it takes me to respond to queries. I (ahem) apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.
If you want to see the page unprotected, why don't you put in the request yourself and see what happens? It can't hurt to try. Labyrinth13 23:08, 21 February 2007 (UTC)
- I have done so. I hope the three of you don't go back to edit warring the moment the article is unlocked. If that happens I will pursue a blocking option to stabilize the article. Jeffpw 23:21, 21 February 2007 (UTC)
- I certainly don't intend to, nor did I ever. And I hope that you don't plan to start an edit war, either! Good luck on getting it unlocked. Labyrinth13 23:25, 21 February 2007 (UTC)
- I've never been in an edit war so I doubt that will happen. Let's hope we can all edit constructively. Jeffpw 23:32, 21 February 2007 (UTC)
- Well, this edit war was my first, and I truly hope will be my last. I look forward to working with you on the entry in the future. Thanks for your help. Labyrinth13 23:43, 21 February 2007 (UTC)
