[edit] Request Information

Request made by: Matt 21:58, 21 August 2006 (UTC)
Where is the issue taking place?
Kriging and related pages User_talk:JanWMerks and Special:Contributions/JanWMerks
Who's involved?
User_talk:JanWMerks has been using the Kriging article as his personal soapbox since April
User:Hike395 has made a valiant effort to restore NPOV, but he seems to be on his own
User:Antandrus is considering helping out with an RfC
What's going on?
Looking at the history of articles such as Kriging, Geostatistics, Spatial dependence, Tolstoy syndrome there appears to be an edit war waged by the user JanWMerks
I have rearranged the Kriging page so that JanWMerks' arguments are contained in the Controversy section. Jan appears to have accepted my rationale, at least for the time being.
What would you like to change about that?
I would prefer that the Kriging article explain the statistical technique in an accessable and unbiased manner.
Would you prefer we work discreetly? If so, how can we reach you?
It's fine to post on User_talk:Azeari - I don't have a burning urge to become directly involved
