Medieval Market of Turku

The Medieval Market of Turku (Finnish: Turun keskiaikaiset markkinat) is an annual event organised in the historic city centre of Turku, Finland. It involves a handicrafts market in a medieval fashion at Vanha Suurtori, one of the city's oldest markets, as well as a number of different open-air performances and exhibitions.

The event has been organized since 1996, and is constantly growing in popularity. In 2005, it drew in approximately a hundred thousand visitors, and employed over a hundred voluntary and professional actors and actresses.
