MediaStorm is a New York City-based multimedia production company that focuses on innovative, high-quality storytelling through the use of photography, audio, interactivity, and video.
Founded by Brian Storm, MediaStorm's flagship online publication at http://mediastorm.org, showcases in-depth contemporary feature stories with an emphasis on photojournalism. Notable projects include Kingsley’s Crossing, The Sandwich Generation, BLOODLINE: AIDS and Family, and Never Coming Home.
In 2007, MediaStorm was awarded a Webby in the Magazine category.
Also in 2007, Pictures of the Year International competition awarded MediaStorm first place for Best Use Interactive Publication/Small Media for the MediaStorm online publication.
MediaStorm’s Kingsley’s Crossing by Olivier Jobard is the recipient of the 2007 Emmy Award for Documentary/NonFiction for Broadband.
The company’s clients include Apple Computer, Council on Foreign Relations, The Los Angeles Times, MSNBC, and National Geographic.
In an effort to assist other multimedia producers, MediaStorm provides free and extensive documentation on gathering audio, producing with Apple’s Final Cut, as well as details on audio and video equipment.
