The Medal for the Liberation of Prague was a medal given to Soviet troops who fought and helped liberate Prague, Czechoslovakia from May 3-May 9 1945. The medal was a ribbon with a central blue stripe, and was instituted on June 9, 1945.[1] Not only did Soviet troops receive the medal, but there are accounts of Prague citizens who received it.[2]
