Michelle Devorah Kahn (1989- ) Michelle Kahn was born on June 24th 1989 in Ontario, Canada. She has appeared in many stage productions (Brundibar, Arsenic and Old Lace, Willy Wonka and The Chocolate Factory, One of Us, Libel In The Bible, et al.) and in 2005 made and starred in her first film, “Sunset and Camden” (“Lottie Jones”, Director, Producer, Writer, Editor, Head of Costumes, Props and Hair, Head of set designs and Location Manager and member of the Camera Crew). “Sunset and Camden” is a short, B&W, slapstick comedy about two very different men trying to win over a young woman as she is innocently waiting for a bus. “Sunset and Camden” won the awards for Best Costumes and Props, Best Actress (Kahn) and Best Film at the TanenbaumCHAT Film Festival, was a finalist in Sprockets the Toronto International Film Festival for Children, in Viewfinders: International Film Festival for Youth in Halifax, Nova Scotia and the Western State College Film Festival in Idaho, U.S.A. She just recently finished her second film, “In The Army” (2007), another short, B&W, slapstick comedy, (“Pte. B. McGee ”, Director, Producer, Writer, Editor, Head of Costumes, Props and Hair and Makeup, Head of set designs and Location Manager and member of the Camera Crew) which has won the awards for Best Costumes and Props and Best Cinematography at the TanenbaumCHAT Film Festival. “In The Army” was just recently accepted into Sprockets the Toronto International Film Festival for Children (for the second time in-a-row). Michelle is currently working on her third film, a documentary on a Jewish man who escaped from Syria in the 1940’s (Director, Writer, Editor, Interviewer and Narrator). Michelle is currently in Grade 12 and hopes to one day, not only make films, but host her favorite television station, “Turner Classic Movies”.
