[edit] advert

i've tried to tone this thing down, but it's still an awful advert that reflects poorly on wikipedia. what do you guys think? should we just reduce this to a one paragraph stub and then let it grow (as in, not just copy generated by some mdg employee)? Themindset 03:14, 22 May 2006 (UTC)

[edit] 66.207.102.147

66.207.102.147 keeps blanking this page, it traces to mdgcomputers server.[1] Hey, MDG, you are involved in computers, you should know that your actions are not anonymous, and that this reflects very poorly on you. Perhaps media coverage of your actions on wikipedia is what you're looking to accomplish? Themindset 16:26, 23 May 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Removed Link

Removed the reseller's link. Seems like an advert url for that site.

[edit] Stop removing the criticisms

They are there to warn people not to buy from MDG as they are a scam company. When i editted, I provided a source link and you guys still delete it!! Just let it be. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Blackdogs377 (talkcontribs).

Please see WP:NOT#SOAPBOX. The source link you provided had nothing to do with the criticisms that were listed (I checked). Please do not add criticisms unless you can cite reputable sources. BTW - I have nothing to do with this company and neither like nor dislike them. -- Rick Block (talk) 16:53, 31 March 2007 (UTC)

Yea well guess what, theres 12 pages of criticisms in that link (exclude the first page though because its all mdg writing about themselves)

Also, having 8 paragraphs of criticism with 1 paragraph of information makes for a really unbalanced article. Please see WP:NPOV Mr.Z-mantalk¢Review! 04:12, 1 April 2007 (UTC)

While it is okay to put some criticism, it is not by any means okay to have the majority of the article posted as such as this makes the page a wildly unbalanced entry.Calvinhrn 02:07, 11 June 2007 (UTC)

[edit] MDG Sockpuppets

Seems we have a problem with Sockpuppets from MDG IPs. Given the article has been a target for vandals in the past should we just reduce the article back to a stub? Calvinhrn 04:04, 1 August 2007 (UTC)

why would we wanna give in to MDG? This encyclopedia is trying to provide a fair, accurate and unbiased article about this company, fair and accurate doesn't mean we let the company dictate or influence the content of the article, regardless of their actions.

Please remember to sign your post with four tildes at the end. Although I do agree that we should not give in, it is important that we take measures to protect the integrity of the article, as MDG appears to be trying to compromise NPOV. Calvinhrn 15:16, 10 August 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Criticism Content

I have removed content mentioning trojan malware from the criticism section as improper/incorrect. I have completed several comprehensive malware scans on MDG PCs and turned up no results indicating the posted information to be true. Calvinhrn (talk) 03:35, 11 January 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Added More Information, Balance

The article seems to have focused on arguments against MDG with no other information. I added balance by adding the counter-claims, as well as talking about newer developments about how the company markets. 76.67.17.160 (talk) 06:09, 5 June 2008 (UTC)
