The Environmental Record Task Force aims to make sure that the environmental records of policymakers, corporations, and organizations are accurately and consistently represented throughout the encyclopedia.
[edit] Scope
We address entries for corporations, institutions, and other organizations having notable environmental impact, as well as for individuals whose activity in the political process has notable environmental impact.
[edit] Goals
- Expand the category for notable environmental topics
- Ensure that articles on environmental organizations are well written, well sourced, and encyclopedic
- Ensure that NPOV is maintained
[edit] Environmental record
Cantwell received the highest rating possible from the League of Conservation Voters for her environmental voting record. She is known for supporting alternative energy research and for protecting Washington's forests from logging and the construction of paved roads and has earned endorsement from various prominent environmental advocacy groups.[1] and other environmental groups[2][3] She has opposed drilling in Alaska's Arctic National Wildlife Refuge on multiple occasions, has voted to reduce oil usage by 40% by 2025, and has opposed legislation to relax or terminate CAFE standards.[4] The Seattle Times has described Cantwell's environmental record as "pristine"[5] and The Wilderness Society has described Cantwell as an "environmental champion".[6]
[edit] Resources
Let's pool our knowledge to determine the most accurate and effective research methods for this project.
[edit] U.S. Policymakers
