McElhanney

The McElhanney group of companies, consisting of McElhanney Land Surveys and McElhanney Consulting Services, was founded in 1910 by W.G. McElhanney.

McElhanney Consulting Services specializes in surveying, engineering and planning. McElhanney Land Surveys specializes in surveying, mapping and GIS for the petroleum industry. McElhanney Land Surveys Ltd. works extensively for oil companies by surveying well sites and pipelines whereas McElhanney Consulting Services does transportation design work for all levels of government and both companies are separately owned.

Originally based solely in British Columbia, McElhanney Consulting Services has 15 offices most of which are in British Columbia and McElhanney Land Surveys has 6 offices strategically located to work in the petroleum producing regions of Alberta, British Columbia and Saskatchewan. In 1959, McElhanney Consulting Services began pursuing international contracts, the first of which was the Mekong River survey.
