[edit] Double Beef and Bacon

The reason for the continual of Double Beef and Bacon was actually because all the ingrediants were there already, I know because i work there The Danielmeister 10:19, 24 January 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Advert-ish

Quite a few of the entries in this list don't seem very NPOV... Snack Wrap: 100% white meat chicken breast (crispy or grilled) with fresh, crisp lettuce, shredded cheddar jack cheese, and premium ranch or honey mustard sauce, all inside a soft flour tortilla. Bolded words are adjectives you'd normally find in a commercial and don't really help describe the product. I've cleaned up that particular entry, but there are more like it. --- RockMFR 22:02, 25 January 2007 (UTC)

-I think that is just McD's way of describing the items. The inclusion probably wasn't done with bad intent, and did little harm as a reader would obviously see it as advertising language. You were correct to edit it, as it wasn't entered as a quote. 68.58.46.53 14:22, 2 February 2007 (UTC)

Maybe a few readers thought the lettuce they used was moldy or old? lol jk, good call! Fadedroots 07:25, 9 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit] McToast

I didn't find it in the article; I don't know if it's named differently but it's sold here in Italy (see here). It's a round-shaped toast with cheese and cooked ham (prosciutto cotto). I don't know if it's sold somewhere else, but I'm sure it doesn't exist in the UK (i've asked for it in London and they didn't even know what it was, so I guess it has never been sold there) --Absinthe88 02:52, 24 February 2007 (UTC)

McToast is sold at McDonald's in Malta, as of October 2006. I had this item and took photos of the advertising pieces. It is also sold in Cyprus since two-three months User: daves29 logged in anonymously, however.

[edit] Aussie menu - Deluxe Breakie Roll

My store stopped selling this on 14th March, so it's now a old item, but rumor has it that it may be brought back later in the year. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 220.238.38.7 (talk) 10:54, 17 March 2007 (UTC).

[edit] Specialty Drinks

I have heard that certain markets are testing these types of drinks (lattes, cappuccinos and iced coffees) as well as smoothies. Do you think that these drinks will last? And for anyone working in a store serving these, are customers responding to the new drink choices? Swinquest 17:44, 22 March 2007 (UTC)

The new blended coffees, iced coffees, smooties are all part of a new beverage intitive set into motion primarily in the midwest (Michigan Region). The drinks have proven very successful. Full nationwide roll out of these drinks is scheduled to be completed by November 2008. National Advertising is set to start in late November/Early December, just in time for the holidays. --Bolinar 09:11, 13 August 2007 (UTC)

[edit] New Item in Southern California, McAngus Burger

I haven't done any research but a friend told me of the new McAngus burger (100% angus beef...wonder what that meant the other burgers had then =P ) that was being test marketed in Southern California. I have no clue if that is true, but the burger itself exists because I just had one for dinner. If I can be honest, it was pretty damn good. No, I don't work for McDonalds nor have any connection to them except theres a hundred of them places within a mile of me (so don't call me a McPlant ;) ) One of the things that was noticable right away was that the patty itself was spiced. Normally McD burgers are only made known in texture, not taste, but these patty's had actual taste. I personally believe McDonald's is trying to go after the 6 dollar burger and at the same time try to give a better beef product then what they are known for. Anyone else in the LA-OC area try it? How far across California, or the US for that matter, is this burger available? Just seems like an appropriate discussion for the menu items page =P Oh, and just once again to say I'm not a McDonald's employee I'll add that it took 20 minutes for my order to get to me! (20 minutes in a drive thru!) and I was going to call and complain until I noticed they gave me a free Baked Apple Pie =D LOL Fadedroots 07:22, 9 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit] why are you guys writing this

Is not this just giving free advertisement for one of worlds worst companies? This should never have been in an encyclopedia. wouldn't surprise me if Macdonald's payed you people for writing this.

Personally I dislike McDonald's, but it still is a company of no small importance or influence, so it certainly belongs here.Alloco1 22:04, 21 June 2006 (UTC)

-Your poor writings skills aside, this is indeed fact. Should we not have a page on Hitler or neoNazis? 68.58.46.53 14:18, 2 February 2007 (UTC)

surprisingly enough McDonald's information actually helps junior high kids write persuasive essays for English class against their own school cafeteria's food... I never thought this information would be useful one day... so for others out there who are randomly struck by the hilarious usefulness of various fast food restaurant facts... don't delete this page

There is absolutely nothing wrong with this article or its place on Wikipedia. There is also nothing wrong with liking McDonald's, which I do. Tis funny how you have such a strong position against the company by commanding us too think like you. Reality check, I make my own decisions and am tired of people telling me what I can or can't like. I don't know where you live, but in America I'm allowed to like whatever I want and am allowed to also disagree with you, which I do. Strongly. Fadedroots 07:14, 9 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Microwaved Hotcakes

Do any other countries besides Australia have premade hotcakes that are heated in a microwave.Atirage 15:10, 29 April 2007 (UTC)

The US system uses a "ready to heat" hotcake. The hotcakes are produced by Bakery Chef (in Louisville KY) which is a subsidiary of Ralcorp. Ralcorp also makes the new Cinnamon Melts. --Bolinar 09:13, 13 August 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Chicken Biscuit

I know Southern Style Chicken Biscuit is listed under breakfast items but it is also a dollar menu item, mostly in the South. I had listed it earlier but it seems like someone deleted it. I tried to find some source for it but could not. If anyone can find any sources for this or vouch for it as well please do. Acidskater 06:32, 25 April 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Danish

The article mentions Cheese Danish as a current breakfast item. However, I worked at McD's in the 70's and we had several flavors of danish and they were available all day. So whomever knows how to document this stuff, I suggest seeing about adding that to former menu items. With me, it'd be original research. 00:16, 3 July 2007 (UTC)

[edit] USA bias

The regional variations in the USA should be listed with the other countries, not on top. The USA is just another country. This doesn't mean I don't like USA. I love USA! JonnyLate 20:29, 14 July 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Useful link to add some information

I've just found this post on a blog that could be useful to add some more information about regional menus...--Absinthe88 23:07, 17 July 2007 (UTC)

[edit] McEgg

I'm quite surprised that no-one has mentioned the McEgg. They're still common in the far east, and I have eaten them in Malaysia, Hong Kong and Taiwan. It's not a McMuffin without bacon, but an egg with cheese in a burger bun. It's often the only vegetarian sandwich on the menu. Sfgreenwood 16:07, 16 August 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Australian Menu Items

". The winning name was the McJew Burger. The runner-up name was the Homestar Burger."

I think not. The burger is called the "backyard "burger" I have no idea what the runner-up name was but it sure wasn't Homestar Burger. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 144.139.35.193 (talk) 03:04, August 30, 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Dollar Menu

I think the dollar menu needs to be in sections. For example: Breakfast Menu, Regular Menu, Other. Or at least put it in alphabetical order. What does everyone else think? Shawn W 17:52, 21 September 2007 (UTC)

The Dollar Menu section was deleted. Information about it be added to a section called Demographic targeting without any products included. - Jeremy (Jerem43 02:23, 4 November 2007 (UTC))

[edit] photographs

It's great that you selected good, representative typical presentations of actual McDonald's food, as you get it in the restaurant (you didn't select "bad" pictures to make the food look bad and you didn't take idealized "high key" photos from the McDonald's website). However, my criticism is simply that the cheesburger pic,the quarter pounder with cheese, and the Mcrib photos are out of focus. Maybe set the camera on "macro" and try again or maybe find another image. There is some website, I can't remember where, that has nothing but pictures of food items he personally took, maybe we can get permission to use some of those.SecretaryNotSure 12:45, 5 October 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Puerto Rico

McDonald's in Puerto Rico also offers flan as a dessert option. Kudos on an interesting and informative article, incidentally. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.224.128.111 (talk) 03:34, 6 October 2007 (UTC)

[edit] McRib is back Again. Corrections to the Menu Item Page.

I work at McDonalds.

Management has told us (crew) that the McRib will be back on the 22nd of October. At least in my area (northern IL)

And Pumpkin pie + sweet tea on the 15th.

Also I see a few things that need touching up.

First of all, the Grilled Cheese is on a regular bun. Not 2 club buns.

Second, the Southwest Salad has been extended past '07 in select markets. Ours being one of them. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.183.102.18 (talk) 06:51, 7 October 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Splitting Up

[edit] Wal-Mart McDonald's items

I do not believe that the hot dogs / pretzels / etc available at McDonald's inside Wal-Mart are actual McDonald's menu items. I know that these items are available "from" Subway in stores that have a Subway instead. I believe that the hot dogs / other non-McDonald's items are grafted-on by Wal-Mart to take advantage of the sales channel (workers, etc). Note that the extra items may have their own signage and not be featured on the regular McDonald's menu boards. Jason McHuff 06:26, 17 October 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Recent red wikilink storm

GarryMann (talk · contribs · deleted contribs · logs · block user · block log) went on an edit rush and added over a hundred wikilinks to this article, unfortunately most were to non existent articles. I removed most of them but this was a serious problem. please keep an eye out so that he doesn't do it again. - Jeremy (Jerem43 17:55, 3 November 2007 (UTC))
