McDermont Field House is a renovated sports facility that was originally an abandoned orange packinghouse called McDermont Fruit Co. Growers and Shippers. Located in Lindsay, California, it will hold its Grand Opening on June 21, 2008. Once completed, the entire facility will be 172,000 square ft. Small scale operations began in October 2007.
Upon completion McDermont Field House will have 2 NCAA sized basketball courts (running end to end), a 10,000 square ft. laser tag arena (in the basement), a 9,000 square ft. arcade, various concessions stations and restaurants, indoor FlowRiderâ„¢, indoor skate park, 50 ft. climbing wall, a regulation size indoor soccer field (complete with FieldTurf), a zipline that starts its descent 4 stories up, 20x30 ft. LightSpace Dance Floor and more.
McDermont Field House is also equipped to host musical acts and concerts. As a venue, Mcdermont Field House will be able to to support car shows, dances, posadas, and other exhibitions.
In January of 2008 McDermont began a men's basketball league that competed in 3 divisions.
The Fresno Fuego was present at McDermont on April 16, 2008 to introduce futsal to the community and the surrounding area
Mark Wills will perform on April 19, 2008 at the peak of the Orange Blossom Festival being held that weekend by the City of Lindsay.
Ramon Ayala is set to perform at this venue on June 28, 2008.
