Welcome to the project, and I hope that your assignment goes well. I would highly suggest you visit WP:SUP. This is where we have resources for teachers like you wanting to use the project to assist in assignments. You may also want to list your assignment there so that you can get assistance from others. I have tagged the article in question as being subject to such an assignment.

As for the redirecting, I tend to do those redirects as an alternative to deletion of articles when the target gives as much or more information as the stub article I am replacing. It does not take a lot of information to get past this threshold. :) Redirecting leaves the article there, and leaves the history in place for whenever someone comes along to create a more viable article.

I also did not specifically undo your edits, though that was indeed the end result. I'm a patroller of "Short Pages". If a page falls below a certain length, it shows up on reports. I monitor those reports, and see what, if anything, can be done to get the article off the report. In this specific case, I made the judgement to redirect, which happened to undo what you had done. Anyway, the article as you now have it is far above the point where I would redirect, so you'll not be seeing me do that again. I will go do a couple of technical edits to it, but it looks like a viable stub at least at the moment.

I really do urge you to visit WP:SUP for guidance and assistance. This is far from the first time that class assignments have worked to add to the project, and that link should give you some very useful information. Also, in case you were unaware, I'm an administrator here which, amoung other things, means I'm one of the more experienced editors. Feel free to ask me any questions you have on my talk page. [edit] A possible resolution of difficulties

Hi Mc2000, welcome to the world of collaborative wikis. You may be interested in using http://www.wikiversity.org as a learning environment for your class members initially to begin creating draft learning materials. Then after the article has reached acceptable stub status to the majority of Wikipedia participants it can easily be transwiki'ed to the Wikipedia by requesting assistance from a Wikipedia functionary or a Wikiversity custodian. The Wikiversity is specifically intended to support learning communities, activities, and materials that are possibly not yet ready for primetime at Wikipedia or Wikibooks (textbooks) but which are necessary to the creation of free online knowledge and effective participants.
