My name is Ben Akel. I am 6'1" and I weigh 143 lbs. I live in Myrtle Beach, SC. I was born 9/22/1989. I am a competitive swimmer. I swim with a club team that practices 6 days a week from 4:30 - 7:30 pm and from 8:00 - 11:00 am on Saturdays.

I swim for the Myrtle Beach Swim Team (MBST). I am a sprinter. My best time is 22.43 in the 50 yard freestyle.
[edit] Surfing
I live on the beach so I love to surf. I ride a 5'9" HIC (Hawaiian Island Creations). The wave here are not the best but you have to make the best of it. I miss the days when my friend and i used to be able to go out and the beach would be nearly empty but word travels fast and now everybody surfs at that avenue. The waves are better there because of a sandbar a little ways offshore.

I used to go to the mission at Saint Mary's of the Moonlight in the Navajo Reservation at Oljato. Last year the Me and the rest of the Student Leadership Team of my youth group started doing out of country missions. Last year we went to the Dominican Republic. This year we are going to Panama.
