[edit] IPU
Can you rephrase that in a more encyclopaedic fashion? Guettarda 16:36, 27 July 2006 (UTC)
My post is more a sidebar to an encyclopedia as an example of IPU usage. The page seems a bit dry. Doesn't the wiki comedy page have examples of comedy? Because the IPU is essentially satire as a teaching tool It seems like an example is needed. As part of the satire to put it directly into the flow one ups the satire but I can see your point it is over the edge as a true encyclopedic piece. I put some comments into IPU talk. [edit] License tagging for Image:JillWagner1.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:JillWagner1.jpg. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.
For more information on using images, see the following pages:
This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 20:01, 25 August 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Articles you might like to edit, from SuggestBot
SuggestBot predicts that you will enjoy editing some of these articles. Have fun!
SuggestBot picks articles in a number of ways based on other articles you've edited, including straight text similarity, following wikilinks, and matching your editing patterns against those of other Wikipedians. It tries to recommend only articles that other Wikipedians have marked as needing work. Your contributions make Wikipedia better -- thanks for helping.
If you have feedback on how to make SuggestBot better, please tell me on SuggestBot's talk page. Thanks from ForteTuba, SuggestBot's caretaker.
P.S. You received these suggestions because your name was listed on the SuggestBot request page. If this was in error, sorry about the confusion. -- SuggestBot 20:25, 30 January 2007 (UTC)
[edit] CfD
Well, I'm simply following this CfD. If the category is created first or not, it doesn't matter in my humble opinion. Anyway, if you want, you can simply go ahead and move the US category to the United States one, along with its talk page ;-) Happy Editing by Snowolf(talk)CONCOI on 13:16, 22 February 2007 (UTC)

[edit] MBCF/sandbox
This article was proposed for deletion--I think it probably got separated from User:MCBF/sandbox, and you might want to rescue the contents. DGG 06:27, 10 June 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Orphaned non-free media (Image:Jillwagneractress.jpg)
Thanks for uploading Image:Jillwagneractress.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BetacommandBot 02:37, 12 November 2007 (UTC)
[edit] NPOV in MacCentral
IMO, being a part of the MacMinute Forum (and presumably a former MC forum user) gives you just about the same conflict of interest burden in MacCentral is it does me as an employee of the company who bought it and as one of the people who shut down the old forums. I appreciate your attempts to honor NPOV (and hope you appreciate my good-faith attempts as well), but in general I think the article could really use the hand of someone who is neither a Mac Publishing employee or a user of MacCentral or the MC/MM forums. Then again, willing editors can be hard to find. Maybe someone in WikiProject Macintosh? Best, -jason Jsnell (talk) 22:35, 14 April 2008 (UTC)

- I would disagree a bit as to who has to tread more lightly in the NPOV schema. We both can edit but the employee necessarily is skating on thinner ice and has to post why they are making changes before they go for wholesale deletion.
