Mazandaran TV

Mazandaran TV (Mazandarani: Taparestun Kanal meaning Channel of Tabaria, Arabic: شبکه مازندران meaning Mazandaran Broadcast Network, Persian: سیمای مازندران meaning television of Mazanderan) also Mazandaran Broadcast Network, is a local bilingual IRIB television channel, broadcast in the provinces of Mazandaran and Golestan, some parts of the Semnan and Gilan provinces of Iran, and the Balkan province of Turkmenistan.

Early establishement of an independent TV in mazandaran goes back to the Pahlavi era, in 1971, the firest broadcast installed in the town of Sari, in 1975 television activity developed, after the revolution of Iran, broadcasts installed in other cities of mazandaran (including Gorgan), afterward Mazandaran Broadcast starts showing programs in an independent frequency (VHF 36).

One of excite sections of this channel is programming into the Mazanderani language, Early movies of this channel were all dub of forigen movies which were not even dubbed to persian before. Currently cultural programs, Musics, Movies, and some serials are in this language, Also new manager of this channel who is proud for his Mazanderani heritage asks for publishing news into this language. During the journey of President Ahmadinejad, Most of programs were published in Mazandarani.
