Mayur Public School - a multifaceted institution came into inception in the year 1989 at Mayur Vihar Ph II founded by Mayur Educational Society.[1]

The school is founded by Mayur Educational Society ( Regd.) with a building which consist of an auditorium , laboratories for Physics , Chemistry , Biology, Mathematics and two Computer Labs . It also has a library with subscription of magazines, journals , newspapers etc and a room for music , art c& craft and Dance etc.[2]
The school also aims at equipping the students with the intellectual and practical skills necessary to meet the inevitable challenges in the future . The students of the school have managed to carve a rightful niche for themselves and have proved their mettle in various professional careers like CA , MBA, NDA , Engineering , Law, Architecture , Medicine , Hotel Management , Animation etc.
The school has not merely been outshining in the arena of academics but aims at the holistic development of its students . MPS Eco Club[3] , in collaboration with Department of Environment , Govt. Of NCT of Delhi has been a lead school amongst all the public and govt. Schools of East Delhi and has to its credit various awards in creating awareness against environmental pollution .[4] Further more, the school has been performing consistently in co-curricular activities which are woven into the school curriculum . The students have bagged various prizes at the Zonal , District as well as the State levels . Be it dramatics , debate , quiz , extempore , Dance or painting , Mayurians bubbling with enthusiasm and vitality have always been participating in all these activities.[5]
