On May 30, 2008, a construction crane, owned by New York Crane & Equipment,[1] collapsed in Manhattan, New York.
The top portion of a Kodiak tower crane structure containing the cab, snapped and fell, damaging an apartment at East 91st Street and First Avenue.[2] At least two construction workers, including the crane operator, are believed to have been killed and two other people are said to have been injured.[1][3]
