- St Andrews University researchers have determined that dolphins have and recognise "names" for each other, not just sound. (BBC)

- A study published in Nature presents data showing that parts of the Pacific trade winds, called the Walker circulation, have slowed down by about 3 percent since the mid 1800s. A simulation of this effect can only be matched to the data when including effects due to Global warming. (AP/YahooNews)
