  1. ^ http://gov.ai/statistics/ENV_CLIM_TABLE.htm. Anguilla reliable data encompasses a short period of time. More extreme temperatures may have been occurred in the past, but old data is plagued by errors and instruments used were affected by terrible exposure conditions.
  2. ^ The Anguilla series on its 3 stations is to be considered mostly unreliable and most of its data is affected by overirradiation for bad quality of sun screens. Therefore only data taken under proper conditions may be used and it encompasses a short period of time. Slightly more extreme temperatures may have been occurred.

All these stations are mechanic and can record only by 0.5C degree. Their shelters are not appropiated and have also lots of errors in their serie. Highest temperature recorded under 100% reliable conditions is that of the International Airport of Mexicali 50.0C on the same day 28 July 1995.

  11. ^ Kraledijk has a short period of record, therefore absolute minimun may be alightly lower.
  12. ^ Temperatures of 36.7C in August and September 1998 and other data above 36C are all wrong synops data, possibly transmission error.

  15. ^ An extreme range of temperatures from 11.2°C to 36.5°C has also been reported in minor stations of the territory.

Official highest temperature in Costa Rica was recorded at Liberia,Guanacaste province, in May 1998 with 40.1C. Unofficial reading of 41C was reported in the Palo Verde National Park.

A lowest temperature of 19.0C is also claimed to have been reached at the Hato International Airport, although it has not been confirmed by Meteo Netherlands Antilles. 32. ^ Many references give the Greenland record at Ivigtut on June 23th,1915. Nevertheless, according to Meteo Denmark the official registers give the highest temperature of 1915 at this station on April23rd,not in June. The sequences of temperatures was:April 22: 20,0/6,0 ,April 23: 30,1/6,8,April 24: 19,2/9,7. We must consider that 30.1C as an almost surely wrong data (probably it was a 20.1C wrongly copied).
