The above uncredited suggestion is correct - this Maxine Brown, the country singer, was born in Campti, Louisiana, and Maxine Ella Brown the soul singer was born in Kingstree, South Carolina, 18 August 1939. Ghmyrtle 19:19, 31 August 2006 (UTC)
