Talk:Max Barry
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Recent edits have been removed regarding controversy over Max Barry's website nationstates.net. Unpleasant as the subject matter is, especially for fans of Mr. Barry, and while it seems to be only partly relevant to his biography, there is nothing libelous in stating true facts, especially if the facts reference certain people's use of a website which happens to be registered to Mr. Barry. Furthermore, stating these facts and the fact that nationstates.net is registered to Mr. Barry (ie someone uses website A; website A is registered to person B) does not in itself constitute harrassment. Arguments could be made that it would be a breach of etiquette to post unflattering observations about a site registered to him or that the language used in the posts were slanted one way or another.
- Leaving aside the question of whether this is "true facts," there is already a Wikipedia page for NationStates and the information you want to post is already there. It is unjustified to duplicate it on this page, where NationStates is only mentioned in passing. --Violetine
- I agree absolutely. The question of what constitues libel was the disagreement.
Why is there nothing about Company?
[edit] Section 8
I heard somewhere that section 8 is planning to shut down and Barry is getting the movie rights back.
