Max-Hellmuth Ostermann (born 11 December 1917 in Hamburg, killed in action 9 August 1942 near Amossovo on the Eastern front) was a German former Luftwaffe fighter ace and recipient of the Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross with Oak Leaves and Swords during World War II.

Max-Hellmuth Ostermann was born on 11 December 1917 in Hamburg and joined the Luftwaffe as a Fahnenjunker in March 1937.

Max-Hellmuth Ostermann shot down 102 enemy aircraft in over 300 combat missions. The majority of his victories were claimed over the Eastern front and 8 claims over the Western front.
