[edit] An odd phrase
"recuperating after his recovery": given that "recuperating" and "recovery" have the same root (word passed from Latin to English by two different routes) this is an odd wording. It is tantamount to "recovering after his recovery", which doesn't make a lot of sense. - Jmabel | Talk 17:38, 11 March 2008 (UTC)
- Well spotted; I was slightly mangling a turn of phrase which Unsworth used, but you're right, the two juxtaposed don't make much sense. I've changed it to just plain "recuperating". Iain99Balderdash and piffle 18:11, 11 March 2008 (UTC)
