Mauricio J. Ramos Méndez (born September 23, 1967 in Santa Cruz de la Sierra) is a former Bolivian football (soccer) midfielder. He played 35 international matches and scored 1 goal for the Bolivia national team, including an appearance in the 1994 FIFA World Cup.
Nicknamed "Tapera", he initiated his career playing for Bolivian clubs Destroyers and Guabirá. In 1995 he went abroad after signing with Brazilian team Cruzeiro. While playing in Brazil, Ramos suffered a serious knee injury that kept him away from the field for nearly 14 months. After his recovery in 1997, he signed with The Strongest before joining the Major League Soccer, where he played for Tampa Bay Mutiny (1998-99) and New England Revolution (2000). After leaving the American league he played for Bolivian teams Oriente Petrolero, Unión Central and Club San José.
