[edit] A Welcome from Evan Robidoux

Hi, Mattzaliar! Welcome to Wikipedia!

Hi! I'm Evan Robidoux. I noticed that you are new to Wikipedia, so I decided to say "hi" and help you find your way around. I hope you enjoy being a member of our community!

Wikipedia is a big place and it could seem very, very intimidating at times, even for experienced users like me. But don't let this stop you! Just be bold and don't worry about anything going wrong. Even if you make a mistake, we won't be getting in your face about it. Instead, we'll assume good faith and simply fix it for you.

You may find some of these links helpful...

Also...

  • Another way to recieve help is by placing {{helpme}} on your talk page (the page you are on right now.
  • Always sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~)
  • You can create a user page by clicking on your username (which appears on the top-right corner of your screen) and typing a little bit about yourself. You should visit this page to see how user pages work.

So, when you think you know what you need to know to get a good start on Wikipedia, then go for the "edit this page" tab at the top of the screen! Nothing is stopping you! Be bold! If you have any questions or you don't understand something, remember that you can ask at the help menu or my talk page.

[edit] License tagging for Image:England body.png

Thanks for uploading Image:England body.png. Wikipedia gets hundreds of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 12:05, 13 June 2006 (UTC)

[edit] your edits to England national football team

Hi - you have made over 25 edits to this page in the last hour which are just messing up the page. Please refrain from pointless editing and saving - either use the "Show preview" option or use the sandbox. Thanks, Image:Armsofengland.png DJR COME ON ENGLAND! (Talk) 12:47, 13 June 2006 (UTC)

[edit] "World Cup 2006 Information" sections

There is a discussion ongoing on these sections in Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Football/National teams.--Panairjdde 17:17, 13 June 2006 (UTC)

[edit] England strip

Please stop changing the England kit. White is the traditional colour, not some kind of pale blue. The latest fashionable variation by Umbro is copletely unecessary. Jooler

Ignoring comments and doing it your way anyway is not very constructive. Jooler 04:31, 16 June 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Image:MattyKay.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:MattyKay.jpg. I notice the 'image' page specifies that the image is being used under fair use, but its use in Wikipedia articles fails our first fair use criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed image could reasonably be found or created that provides substantially the same information. If you believe this image is not replaceable, please:

  1. Go to the image description page and edit it to add {{Replaceable fair use disputed}}, without deleting the original Replaceable fair use template.
  2. On the image discussion page, write the reason why this image is not replaceable at all.

Alternatively, you can also choose to replace the fair use image by finding a freely licensed image of its subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or a similar) image under a free license, or by taking a picture of it yourself.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified how these images fully satisfy our fair use criteria. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that any fair use images which are replaceable by free-licensed alternatives will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Rettetast 10:47, 30 June 2007 (UTC)
