Matt Earl aka Heavy Matt Earl or Heavymattearl was the guitarist for Whippasnappa , Dangerous Babies and Blasphemy and later went on to tour manage God Forbid , Shadows Fall , Thursday , Atreyu and Stampin' Ground . He also documented these tours with his video and stills camera and hopes to release a DVD of all the footage shot over the last two decades .From the early UKHC shows in Uk and Europe right up to the festival shows in Reading , Leeds , Download / Donnington , Full Force , Pink POP , Pukkel pop , and many more across Europe .He attended award ceremonies for metal hammer golden gods , kerrang awards after show parties with Lemmy , marilyn manson , john paul jones ( led zep ) wherever matt was so was his camera ( not always in focus ) . He currently is forming a new project hard rock melodic metal band called the Screamin' 88's with former band mate Simon Bayliss from Whippasnappa . They are joined in the Screamin 88s by ex Fraudster members Stu Calder and Paul duffy and on drums Ade " Adrian " Stokes who played drums for Stampin Ground.
Matthew Earl also toured with or worked with on shows with the likes of Sepultura , AFI , Arch Enemy , Soulfly , The Haunted , Zyklon , Aereogramme , Breed 77 , One Minute silence , Lost Prophets , hatebreed , Kittie , spunge , the almighty , Metallica , muse ,Iron Maiden , Marilyn Manson, Deftones, Ministry, InMe, Murderdolls, Amen, Funeral for a Friend , Murder One, A ,Earthtone 9 , Reel Big Fish ,Taproot, Reef ,HIM, SOiL ,The Hellacopters, SikTh, 3 Colours Red ,From Autumn to Ashes, QueenAdreena ,lent Delight ,Chimaira ,NOFX ,boysetsfire ,The Bouncing Souls ,Strung Out ,Thrice ,[Spunge] ,TSOL Real McKenzies , The Eighties Matchbox B-Line Disaster, Brand New Beatsteaks ,Randy, Fabulous Disaster ,Audioslave, Zwan ,Flint, Apocalyptica, Less Than Jake ,Disturbed ,Stone Sour, Evanescence, Mudvayne ,Spineshank ,A.F.I , The Darkness, Raging Speedhorn ,Instruction, and many many more but memory isn't his greatest asset. Anyhow Matts had a laugh touring for over ten years but gave it up for a peaceful existence but now he's back riffing !!
