Please, please, please don't move pages by copy-pasting from one location to another. There's a reason we have a move feature - read all about the correct process here. As a side note, your move to Mary, Baroness Soames is against convention - we do put the last name in for peers, although it's not necessarily done that way in formal situations. – ugen64 01:30, 19 Jun 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Order of precedence

Are you sure it's a good idea to add succession boxes for order of precedence? Given the vicissitudes of politics and society, that order is bound to change quite often, and would be a real pain to maintain. Mackensen (talk) 19:55, 13 July 2005 (UTC)

I don't think they are a good idea, given they are not really of any interest except in the most formal situations. Plus they are taking up too much room. It is better justto say a person is X in the order of precedence. Astrotrain 22:00, July 13, 2005 (UTC)
That's the thing though. If an earldom goes extinct everyone who followed that earl is suddenly off by one (or some such). I don't see the value, and I for one am not interesting in maintaining it. Keeping Members of the House of Lords current is bad enough... Mackensen (talk) 22:27, 13 July 2005 (UTC)
I'm not planning to take the succession box too far... I'm probably not going to put boxes in the 600-some barons' pages. But it shouldn't be too hard, I don't think, because the main bulk of the thing is peers and the royal family, which don't change to quickly. Matjlav 01:33, 14 July 2005 (UTC)

Hi Matjlav. The images uploaded by User:Bct88 that you listed at WP:IFD are currently being dealt with by us admins at WP:PUI. Please could you go back and restore the PUI templates on the images and possibly remove the request from IFD? Thanks Craigy (talk) 04:55, July 26, 2005 (UTC)
