Matt Sands was born in 1988 to wealthy parents, and schooled at the prestigious Hoon Hay Primary (1993-1999) before moving to Manning Intermediate (2000), Kirkwood Intermediate (2001), and then Lincoln High School (2002-2006). Currently Matt is completing a Bachelor of Adventure Recreation and Outdoor Education at Christchurch Polytechnic Institute of Technology.
