Robert Huw Evans is a professor of mathematical research at a Massachusetts Technical Institue. He earned his PhD in 1995 in the field of vector analysis. His recent papers have mainly been in the field of number theory especially the progression of prime numbers. Evans has had many papers published and is widely recognised as an outstanding mathematician. His recent work on the Riemann Zeta Hypothesis is described as ground-breaking.

Evans is known to be good friends with famed Urologist and Gynecologist, Professor Faraaz Zafar. Whom he met at school and instantly struck up a friendship with. Talk of Professor Zafar's impeding trip to the USA, saddens Professor Evans greatly who is quoted as saying, "A true friend is very difficult to stumble upon, Zafar will be very much missed by me."
