[edit] CIB

I don't think he could have had the CIB. You must be in the grade of o-6 or lower after 6 Dec 41 to recive this device. He did not take a combat command until 1942 when he had already been promoted to BGEN (o-7) and thus could no longer recive the device. That and in no image is he wearing it.

[edit] Changed death month from July to March.

Don't know exactly where to put this. Here is my best guess. Source for change: http://www.arlingtoncemetery.net/ridgway.htm

[edit] Purple Heart

Article mentions he was wounded but no purple heart listed in awards. Article has category purple heart recipients. --Brad (talk) 15:07, 18 November 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Racism and Genocide in Korea

No mention here of Korean perspective that UN intervention in Korea resulted in (before and during Ridgway) large-number mass murder of indigenous anti-Communist, anti-US rebels to achieve US political purposes, nor mention of collateral perception that Ridgeway himself believed Koreans and Chinese to be sub-humans. “Shoot any civilian suspected of being a communist before they become prisoners (Jan 8, 1951)" and "The Chinese and Koreans are in appearance but a shade above the human beast.” Reference: http://www.kimsoft.com/1997/butchers.htm; http://www.iacenter.org/Koreafiles/ktc-park.htm 69.231.198.225 (talk) 19:34, 18 February 2008 (UTC)
