Matthew Wood (born August 15, 1972 in Walnut Creek, California) is an employee of Skywalker Sound. For the last 15 years, he has worked on numerous film projects, his work being credited as sound editing and sound design. He has been an innovative force within the industry, pioneering new technologies for motion picture sound. He has also worked as an actor, portraying Bib Fortuna in Star Wars Episode I: The Phantom Menace, and providing the voice of General Grievous in Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith and Star Wars: The Clone Wars.
In January 2008, Wood received an Academy Award nomination for his sound editing on Paul Thomas Anderson's There Will Be Blood.
