Matthew Maurer (born August 23, 1978 in Wilmington, Delaware) is an American NBA basketball analyst and NBA Draft historian for several online publications, known for his vast knowledge of NBA Draft History and college basketball.
He has researched the NBA's draft history from 1950 to present day and cleared many conflicting data reports; as simple as what college a player last played, to unknown truths about the order players were selected in the earliest drafts where information is sketchy at best.
In 2005, Maurer began to publish his research on his online publication dedicated to the NBA's draft history, TheDraftReview.com. Matthew has also been featured on ESPN Radio, published articles on Inside Hoops and is an executive board member of APBR (Association for Professional Basketball Research).
