Matta Vilasa meaning "The Sport of Drunkards" is a one act play in sanskrit.
Written by the scholar Pallava king Mahendravikarmavarman 571– 630CE) this act describes a satirical dispute between a drunk Brahmin and a Buddhist monk.
In this play an inebriated Brahmin ascetic accuses a Buddhist monk of stealing his begging bowl made from a skull; but after much satire it is found to have been taken by a dog.
